windrose.market/c/<CODE>, reachable from the Currencies list. For a Windrose currency the page is where you mint the coin from dollars, redeem it back, and back its vault. For a real stablecoin the page tells you where to get the coin, since there is nothing to mint.
The currencies list
The list shows every on-chain currency of the selected network with:- its coin symbol and backing (fiat-backed stablecoin or synthetic Windrose currency),
- the oracle rate per dollar and whether it is fresh, stale or expired, with the time of the last post,
- for Windrose currencies, the vault’s assets, liability and collateral ratio,
- Get and Earn buttons for Windrose currencies, Get and Launch for stablecoins.
Get a Windrose currency
On the currency page, the Get wINR panel mints the coin from the chain’s dollar:- Type the dollars to spend, or the share of your balance with the percentage chips. The line beneath shows the currency amount at the oracle rate before fees.
- Read the quote: You receive in the coin, the Oracle rate, the Fee that applies (0.3% while the rate is fresh, 1% while it is stale, with the dollar amount) and the Min. received at your slippage tolerance.
- Press Get wINR. The wallet asks to approve the vault to spend your dollars, then to sign the mint.
Redeem
Switch the panel to Redeem, type the coin amount, and press Redeem wINR. The vault burns the coins from your balance and pays dollars at the oracle rate less the redeem fee. No approval is needed. If the vault is under water the panel says so and shows the haircut: the fraction of oracle value the vault can pay right now. The Min. received line and your slippage tolerance protect you from the haircut worsening between quote and execution. See Vaults.Fresh and stale
The badge at the top of the panel reads price fresh or price stale. Stale means the oracle rate is older than two hours, usually because FX markets are closed for the weekend. Minting and redeeming still work at the 1% stale fee. If the rate has expired (older than five days) the panel says minting and redeeming resume when the keeper posts again, and both are disabled until then. See Oracles.Paused vaults
A guardian can pause minting and backer deposits on a vault, and the page shows mint & deposit paused. Redeeming always works, paused or not.Real stablecoins
USD and, where registered, EUR pages describe the stablecoin, its issuer and its address, and offer:- Get test USDG on Robinhood testnet, which mints 1,000 test dollars to your wallet,
- a faucet link on Arc testnet,
- a Launch in US Dollar shortcut to the create page.
The display currency
The Show in selector in the top bar changes the currency that prices, values and totals are displayed in, across the whole app. It accepts any ISO code the FX provider knows, on-chain or not. Rates come from a public FX API, refreshed hourly and cached in your browser. It changes nothing about what you pay or receive. A rupee launch stays a rupee launch whether you display it in dollars, euros or pesos. When the FX provider is unreachable the selector shows FX offline and the app falls back to dollars. Why hold a Windrose currency
- Exposure. Holding wINR is holding a claim on rupees’ worth of dollars at the oracle rate, backed by the vault. If the rupee strengthens against the dollar, so does your position, and the other way round.
- Trading graduated tokens. Uniswap v4 pools for rupee launches are quoted in wINR, so you need it to trade there.
- Fewer fees. One mint covers many curve trades; paying with the dollar on every trade pays the mint fee every time.
- Sending it. It is a plain ERC-20. Anyone who receives it can redeem it at the vault.
